Barney Fields
"It's only, like, the best thing in the history of everything!"
Emmett's oldest friend. The love of Daisy's life. Hugh's main man. Just a few titles held by the one-and-only Barney Fields; a loveable geek with a passion for movies, video-games and comic books, and the charmingly-dependable heart of the household.
Born to a family who spent most of his childhood years travelling the world, it wasn't until joining high school - meeting Emmett Shelby in the process - that Barney finally settled down. Just a few years later, Barney went to Emmett's sister's 16th birthday. That sister turned out to be Daisy Shelby and, despite an incredibly rocky start, the pair embarked on a long-term relationship together.
Barney's relationship with Daisy has also helped further his career as an aspiring artist, with his illustrations appearing in all of her published stories so far. However, he is determined not to let himself be defined by his girlfriend, and will go to great lengths to make his own dreams of recognition a reality, maybe even putting his relationship with Daisy at risk in the process...
